Does anybody else here use Inch Park? e.g. as a pedestrian or cycle link to Cameron Toll.

How have your experiences changed since the opening of Inch Park Community Sports Club, and the recent changes around the driveway through the park?

(I'm interested in hearing whether other people share my observations, before I contact the council.)

Yeah, I know the chap on twitter who was shouted at by a motorist recently.

Presumably you have asked at Inch Community Centre 664 4710. They have users who use the park. and the access to Cameron Toll, on a regular basis.

We use it, but maybe too infrequently to have noticed any changes.

I have followed council vehicles travelling to the nursery, but via the Gilmerton Road entrance. The drivers are told not to do this, as it involves driving through the narrow school entrance, instead they should enter via the Old Dalkeith Road.

I think someone well known to CCE may have broken a bone on the speed bumps through the Inch Park, and these are significant enough to merit a mention on the Spokes map.

What's up? Are motorists being irritated by cyclists travelling slowly in front of them, or coming towards them on the single carriageway with passing places?

    That's useful to know, Roibeard.

I was thinking there was an increase in traffic using it as a through route.

There's also a lot of parking on the grass around IPCSC, and going off the driveway to pass instead of using the passing places.

And there's a new footway with a rough gravel surface and lampposts in the middle of it, so now motorists expect families to walk single file down that instead of being able to go side-by-side on the driveway as they used to. (Appallingly the new footway was completely blocked by a car parked with all four wheels on it yesterday evening).
