Did anyone watch the highlights of yesterday's Vuelta action?
I liked the bit when half-a-dozen or so riders skipped into the cycle path to catch up with the front of the peloton!

A very common sight in races in the Netherlands and Belgium. So common, in fact, that they're talking about banning it next season.

A number of spectators have been hit as a result of this. So maybe banning it is a good idea. The spectator at the Vuelta had the good sense to stand still and let the cyclists find their way round.
But, yes, nice bike lanes...
