This is from Ligfiets.net - the main Dutch recumbent site. Always worth looking at if you like that kind of thing. They are big fans of City Cycling and always posted up new issues on news page. Nice to be international.

Thought this might be of interest. Site has For Sale, Wanted and Missing.... Vermist

The machines listed though are from last year...

Non-standard bikes do get stolen of course. Challenge Hurricane models seem to go missing or get stolen the most.

Big loss for owners of course as they can't just nip into any bike shop to pick up. Of course the 'for sale / te koop' section shouldn't have any of the missing bikes (I hope!)
Can click on English, although it won't translate ads.

One item is from Bristol - three Birdy's etc.

Item three is a velomobile. Someone must have left the keys in the ignition... no that is very cruel...

Of course as it has three wheels it's quite easy to get started...

It's not just non standard bikes that get stolen.Amsterdam is bad for bike theft in general.

Friend of mine had a child's pedal-less bike (good quality one) pinched from a staircase in Sciennes last week. Would like to think people wouldn't stoop so low, but I guess it is easy to pick one up and walk off with it. Child broken-hearted.
