    When I read this I assumed it would be only for the exclusive use of cycles, like the northern cycle paths in Edinburgh where the circlular rail line used to go. This is just another colour cycle lane, and not much use when blocked by stationary motor vehicals....

    So if I replace my red network cable with a blue one will ie become a Super Highway network?

    I still think the Dutch have a better system. Their's is besopke (no pun intended), rather than our selotape solution.

    [A separate cycle lane embedded in the wider paths and cycles right of way over motor traffic on junctions]
