    ...it would have been reported as "Nicole Kidman in collision with car". But because the vehicle involved is a bike it's "Nicole Kidman hit by cyclist".

    @crowriver; very impressed by the correct use of the singular.

    Apparently it is the law in NY state http://www.health.ny.gov/publications/3128/ but only for under-14s and 'working cyclists'.

    @ colonies chris the columnist in the guardian used paparazzi and also said kidders was pressing charges whereas she left it to the polis who issued a caution
