This morning, I was out for a run and while on Barnton Avenue West, a large group of riders on high-end road bikes went westwards, at 09:45am. Does anyone happen to know what group that might have been?

Could have been Ronde, they are known to head out that way into West Lothian or Fife.
I don't recall ERC ever doing a club run that way in recent years.

Almost certainly Ronde. They set out from the shop between 9:15 -9:30 & almost always head west.

There was a good bundle of folk, many in purpley/indigo-y cycling tops, out in Kinross yesterday too.
Wasn't a chain gang - they'd split into dribs and drabs.
Wasn't an audax - the only beard, steel and saddlebag was with me.

The Kinross sportive 2014 entry has just reminded peoplemtheirnentry opens on 01/10/13 and that it sold itin ten hours last year
