I was there in March last year and noticed a few properly segegrated and continuous bike lanes in the city centre. Looks like the mayor has plans for more of the same. Good on her.

The NSW government has changed its mind after doing the work and looking at research and facts. Roads minister Duncan Gay, who says he is the "government's biggest bike lane sceptic", now acknowledges the need for other transport options.Times are changing, and Sydney is riding.
Now if only our own government could undergo such a process of discovery...

Personally, I blame the interwebs. I seemed to get on fine for years and years oblivious to any war on bikes or motorists.
Maybe I just never noticed?
