    His comment that the cycle lane slamming into the back of parked vehicles "reminds him of home" is revealing.

    Everyone knows what's wrong. We just don't seem to have the will to fix it.

    Good stuff. Clearly an optimist, this Jim Orr chap. Which is A Good Thing as long as there's also determination to change things, rather than complacency.

    He also revealed that the first National Cycling Summit is taking place at the City Chambers, Edinburgh, today!
