I just wonder how its impact detection would deal with Edinburgh potholes...
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

That's quite a good price too, considering my helmet cam & mount came to about £150.
Check the video quality though - it's alright, but needs to be pretty straight on and close to pick out number plates.
Seems incredibly cheap. Maybe it's good value for money. I do have to agree with rust though from looking at the video quality; it's poor. If that's what they claim is 1280 x 720, then they might as well stop right now. I'm hoping the video is reduced in quality after uploading to vimeo, and that the original is vastly better.
Not sure I'd want a spikey box like that on my handlebars if there was any chance I might be going over the handlebars in an accident. Just sayin'...
They might want to work on the aesthetics of the legobrick design!
Some neat ideas. I like the continuous loop recording.
The Contour Roam Plus has a bluetooth antennae in it so that it can speak to your phone. The integration of GPS data with video and sound would be excellent, recording rider speed, acceleration etc. Would help to calculate if vehicles captured in the footage were speeding.
