    Georgia House Bill 689 would eliminate certain rights of cyclists on public roads including the right to ride 2 abreast and the right to ride in groups of more than 4, and impose a registration tax on bicycles

    Nasty piece of legislation, sponsored by the Republicans, naturally.

    It would appear to make it illegal for children to ride their bikes in the street in front of their houses unless registration fees have been paid and the bike marked with registration plates.

    What do you expect from a state where people still wave the Confederate Flag in a non-ironic manner?

    (and extended families probably still race around in orange stock cars while being chased by the police)
