"David Millar to retire from cycling at end of 2014 season"

I was sad to read this earlir today but glad he's going on his own terms and still at a high level. He's an articulate speaker and it will be interesting to see what role he has in cycling (should he choose to) following retirement.
As far as I know, he still has a stake in Slipstream Sports (aka Garmin-Sharp), so could become one of their off-bike staff, but he would also be a very valuable member of the UCI or British Cycling.
I wish him all the best and hope to see him at the start of the Giro next year.
