Closed completely from the junction near Heriot Watt through to the bottom of Ravelrig hill, apparently until mid Nov. Yesterday I was still able to get through but verge to verge barriers now up.

Is this route NCN75? didn't they close this last year also around this time?

Don't know about NCN, but yes thissection has been closed earlier in the year if I recall. The outcome then was an appalling corrugated surface so I'm hoping that will be addressed by the current works. A PITA for my commute home though.

That section is not NCN 75.

NCN 75 comes down ravelrig hill and turns left towards Kirknewton. Ravelrig Hill itself is the worst surface and most dangerous part of the route for cycling on. Hopefully it will get a new surface soon.

Long Dalmahoy closed again this weekend, at the Kirknewton end. Looks like they'll be tackling the bridge over the railway, the one that's continually trashed by the quarry lorries, so I suspect that the road will be impassable to all.

The signs say it's just for the weekend, and who wants to ride a bike in weather like this anyway ?
