Found this frame on Gumtree to replace the recently departed B-BSO. Chap will take £35 for it.

Going to cannibalise the B-BSO to create new C-BSO, although may treat m'self to a new bottom bracket as mine is gubbed.

This is v. budget cycling as you may realise (the baby budget is bigger than the bikie budget :)) but hopefully it won't need to last too long, just looking for something solid to sit on.

Think so, going round to check with those bits in hand they seem to be in good order, also happy to get a new seat post if needs be as I've got one of those single bolt jobbies.

Hoo, that's great. How about NCR7501-C make it a bit more 'local'

Have settled on a nice and slightly retro steel Giant frame which I can use the best bits from and combine them with the other bits from my bike. Just the fun of getting it delivered by courier to.

As much as I slag off my bike (which I do actually love) a quick trip to ASDA showed me exactly what a BSO was. I was really horrified by the v-brakes in particular. They were tinfoil thin and had punch-outs (to use less metal I'm guessing). The shimano dérailleur at the back looks like it's made from plastic.

I'm sure it is, but it just didn't seem safe, or at least that it would start to fail after not very many miles.
