Caterham to launch two e-bikes in 2014

"British sports car manufacturer Caterham have announced that they'll be branching into the world of motorcycles, with two e-bikes being introduced for 2014.

Best known for their lightweight Seven sports car model, Caterham have historically stuck to the same formula of providing accessible thrills to drivers and now aim to do the same for two wheeled road users."

They look like toys from a catalogue! So many car manufacturers trying to eek out some extra money from their customers by flogging them over-priced bikes with their branding on them. Oh sorry, these are "in line with our affordable ethos of accessibility."

It's almost a case of full cycle (pun unintended), with car manufacturers having sprung out of bicycle makers and now going back to selling bikes, only with crazy philosophies and prices to match.

I fully intend to get a Caterham car, when I can work out where to store it - I once saw one on the road from Rannoch, with a bike carrier (and bike) on the boot mounted spare tyre.

I'll pass on the bikes though...

(I do know how to spell Rannoch...but I'm cooking and typing two fingered...)
