    @Focus - it's actually interesting, a lot of the overseas students in my School swear in English, apparently it's got better words!

    I do remember years ago, one researcher was contemplating doing work on why certain words are so popular, whether the construction of the words, plosives, ejectives, etc made some words more satisfying.

    I do know that the phrase I inherited from my father that he used in front of us kids "fishhooks and little furry fairies" - and often just fishhooks - works for me!
