Afraid I'm double booked with a ticket for Low at the Queen's Hall.
Edit to say, good luck for tomorrow evening, SRD - it looks like a good panel.

9pm's a bit late for me this week, I'm afraid. I get grumpy(/ier) if I'm out of my bed past 10 when I'm bulking.

Fairly close to Bennet's Bar (of Tollcross, not of Morningside).
I can recommend avoiding the place with the orange bike on the wall outside. Appearances can be deceiving.

I was in that place and Bennett's Bar on Saturday. I too recommend avoiding it, although the back courtyard bit is pleasant.

I'll freely admit I'm biased, but Ventoux at Tollcross (named after the hill climb) is not bad. And you're mere yards from Cloisters.
Alas, this week games night is Tuesday, as I'm heading to my folks' on Thursday...

hahaha knowing where the spokes meeting was explains something.
I was on my way to a friends PHD celebration at the Golf Tavern when I got a puncture last night. I hopped in a taxi with my bike as I was running rather late and it was raining and I'd forgotten my pump.
The Taxi pulled up right outside the church on Bruntsfield place about 9:30 and there were a few folks coming out who gave me what can only be called somewhere between confused and slightly disappointed/miffed.
I was a bit confused at the time however I suppose they might have been fired up spokes people. I'm sure they didn't mean it.
