I'm back on my bike after an enforeced week off the wheels! :D
I slipped on some stairs last weekend and only stopped when my arm caught in the banister. Painful I blacked out, not once but twice so was taken to A&E by ambulance. They discovered an arrhythmia (Atrial Fibrillation) so was kept in overnight. I felt completely fine (apart from a slightly sort elbow) but they insisted. I was released on the Sunday afternoon ~18 hours later and while I waited for the consultant to arrange a scan etc.. I was advised by everyone not to cycle. The consultant wasn't reachable but his sec said he briefly when asked advised against until he'd carried out further tests. Shunned by cycling mates from cycling with them, and warned by SWMBO I took the bus last week. I managed to get a GP app and a late available referal and used my employer health care to get a private appointment last Thursday at Spire in Shawfair. There I was interviewed, and had an ultrasound, and was given the all clear to cycle.
What a lovely day to cycle in to, not wet (only the roads), clear skies with little wind), I missed cycling!
