    Tragic.

Not cycling of course, and 'without jumping to conclusions' raises the questions about driving age, training, experience etc. etc.

I delivered a driver/cyclist awareness session to several hundred young people in Livingston earlier in the year as part of a Police campaign. It is enormously successful, you could see the campaign having an immediate impact on the young people. However, due to the move to Police Scotland it most likely won't funded further.

    Terrible.

May have been an icy surface? Quite a few long straight sections of minor road round there where I'd imagine it's easy to pick up speed.

Had I proceeded with my DIY 200 yesterday I might have been in the area not long before the crash occurred.

East Lothian Council Education and Children’s Wellbeing Spokesperson Councillor Shamin Akhtar said: “Dunbar Grammar School is mourning the loss of three students killed in a road accident near East Linton last night. Dunbar is a very close and strong community and very few young people at school will not have known at least one of the young people involved.

The crash was on the long, straight unclassified road down to the beach.

There was a TV drama about teenagers killed in a car crash (1 survivor) on last Xmas iirc, it was very good. Gave a real sense of all of the feelings the bereaved & survivors all go through.

Glad there is no comments in the EEN page.

March actually. Crash, aka One Day Like this

Very well done it was too. Perhaps it should be required viewing for prospective drivers.

yeah that was the one. The school scenes were filmed in my sons school, which is the only reason I became aware of it, but was glad my son watched it. A lot of very good lessons in that film.
