Details here http://modellingonthemove.org/events/modelling-on-the-move-6-cycling-transport-modelling/
Questions will include:
What are the limitations of traditional transport modelling?
In particular, how have these approaches obstructed planning for cycling?
How are these barriers being challenged?
What new trends do we need to take account of?
What is the scope for developing current modelling approaches to deal better with cycling?
What new modelling tools might be used?
How might we better supplement modelling with other approaches/types of evidence?
Being organised by Rachel Aldred, who asked me to pass the word on. She says:
I am keen to have people from outside London along and potentially we can cover some travel costs. Also if you can think of anyone who might like to be part of a respondent panel (i.e. giving off the cuff, short brief responses to presentations) - or if you would like to be yourself - or who might like to present do let me know. I have a number of speakers arranged but want to encourage plenty of participation either through formal presentations or through commenting on presentations :)
