I knit occasionally and spotted some rather interesting looking 'wool' in John Lewis. It's called Lumio from the company Schachenmayr. http://us.schachenmayr.com/yarns/lumio
It's reflective and for my stupidly sensitve skin has the bonus of being 93% acrylc 7% other fibres. I took the other fibres to be whatever the reflective stuff is.

I have used it to knit myself a very basic scarf.

I got really excited when I saw this as I too have bought some of this yarn, with the intention of making myself something for cycling in. Not sure what yet.

It won't be my first cycling related knit though, as I've just finished knitting earmuffs that are integrated with my helmet. They are very cosy (I used some nice soft alpaca). The rather nifty free pattern is here http://brineydeepdesigns.blogspot.co.uk/2008/10/free-pattern-bike-helmet-earmuffs.html

I understand nothing of the secret code, but it looks awesome...

this would appear to be the 'other' fibre that's mixed in with the acrylic: Kreinik reflective yarn(for those who want to combine it with other yarn)

As discussed at PY Xmas remember the fate of Isadora Duncan.

Meant to mention when on MMW heading up to the yard I was chatting to the big issue seller. He said to me, you better hurry up, they are all up there already. looks like he has observed our little rendezvous

I thought you were going to say that you knitted while cycling. Disappointed, now :(

I'm thinking about combining archery and cycling :)

After cold soaked hands in my Goretex gloves last Monday, I have dug out my Dachsteins for really wet stuff. You can't beat wool!!
