  1. Have you got a flip flop hub? Do you like freshly ground coffee when you get to the office? You need The Grinder!

It probably only works if you've also got your £95 Rapha/Chris King coffee tamper

  4. The thing is, If I had a fixed wheel with a flip-flop.... I would be seriously tempted... Mind you, must make the bike sound like a bag of nails going by.

And that coffee tamper is just deadly silly (no matter how much I actually like Rapha).

You could just fit it to the smallest sprocket, its not like you ever got that fast :D

Does remind me a little of Engine Cooking. Unfortunately bikes are too efficient to make use of this.

Did you see the price? <rubs eyes>

Mine could easily go the smallest sprocket.

Thats given me a great idea for a powered bike. Down hill you could use the spare sprocket to wind up an elastic band, then use that stored energy on eht uphills! :D

Did anyone click through and notice who is behind it?

    Two ageing hipsters from Karmarama.

Ring any bells? That's right, the ad agency responsible for the "Stupid Tw*ts" road safety [sic] campaign in London that blew up spectacularly in their faces.

  10. Apart from anything the meter on that limerick is waaaaaaay off.

What is the price? (I can't view the site on the work computer, and only saw it briefly on my phone).

I'm not entirely convinced it is actually a real thing. They do claim it is the best invention since both fire and the internet. Plus it is £350. Plus it is not actually possible to buy one. ;-)

  13. Aha, so probably clever marketeers making a silly website to get gullible people to post about it on forums and the like?

    Oh.

Probably. But it gave me a laugh at least! And the Rapha coffee tamper is presumably still real. :-0

Rapha don't appear to sell their coffee tamper any more but they do have a Rapha branded V60 should you want to make coffee like this video:
