Heard this on R4 this morning. Didn't realise they drove the bike to Bedoin, rode the 14 (admittedly tough) miles to the top, then drove back to London.
A bit Top Gear-esque I thought.

SRD, My point was not about how real or enjoyable (i agree) it was, rather that - on the radio - the talk was of a challenge to see how far you could get on a Boris bike in a 24 hour period.
I kind of hoped it was going to be some "thru the night, no sleep, tag teams riding the bike to Yorkshire and back epic".
I now fully expect someone to put one on a cargo plane to Mumbai, take a selfie and fly it home :-)
