Ladies and Gents, apologies for an OT post but I know some of you go down to (and indeed under) the sea...
Today is the anniversary of the loss of the Solomon Browne and her crew (the Penlee lifeboat, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penlee_lifeboat_disaster )
Please have a pause and a thought for these brave souls, and their surviving families at this time of year, and if you can spare a quid or two for the RNLI, I for one would be grateful.

Promise to get back on topic now!
    Thanks, G

A fine body of men and women. Our nearest station (South Queensferry) is one of the busiest station in Scotland.

  3. The come round the doors by us every now and then - one of the charities I'll always go hunting for some change for. Our sadly departed next door neighbour was an old navy man that the tin-rattlers always stopped to chat with.

Village scouts were out last week chapping up the doors of their patch collecting for the RNLI. Raised about £1200
