Just wondering if anyone here has had a bike serviced by them? Any thoughts on them?

I've always meant to go in, as they're local-ish, but have remained loyal to my favourite bike repair folk.
4.7 out of 5 seems not too shabby from the folk who took the time to post, however.

Yes. They are my mechanics of choice. Top blokes. Very knowledgable & friendly. I highly recommend them.

Yeah I've had a few things done by them, good guys and much shorter waits than the other city centre repair shop.

When I needed a new rear mech in a hurry last winter they were the only city centre shop that had one in stock. When the L adjustment screw turned out to be jammed they unjammed it for free and only made one mildly critical comment about an unconnected part of my bike whilst unjamming it.

I've used them before a few times. They supplied my SRAM groupset for my Cervelo, and when the gear shifter broke after 11 months organised a replacement. Have had no problems with anything they have done.James is a nice bloke, and an occasional bridge commuter. They are just on the wrong side of the meadows for me though, so I do tend to use bike works when something need done 'today'

Okay :) Thanks, I like the concept of them being eco friendly and must confess that my last experience with ebc was less than complimentary (I didn't understand what the guy was telling me and when I asked him to explain in simpler terms, he gave me a look that clearly said this moron knows nothing, sucker)

" last experience with ebc was less than.........I didn't understand what the guy was telling me....."
Yep, seems a common theme in the workshop - odd really as I have also heard great things about their maintenance courses, which are presumably run by same mechanics, so go figure??
I have a mate that uses Pedals as it is handy. He also still uses TBW as well (which is my no1 as it is 2 mins from home).
We are lucky to have so many good shops / showrooms (LB) within a very small area catering to different requirements.

As I vaguely recall someone mentioning a while back, pedals is run by someone who used to work in the bike chain's workshop (I rediscovered this fact when I made the mistake of saying how much I'd liked tbc).

Used them a few times - good service and friendly guys

These guys-Ryan and James-are excellent. They have serviced and even built a number of bikes for myself and for my sons (including road, 'cross, track and downhill MTB). I also had some wheels built by them which have been superb. They really know their stuff and have plenty of useful advice. Can't recommend them highly enough.

James was cool mechanic in TBC, so was brad. Mark the owner also cool, as was woman, sorry forgot her name. V interesting stories of he you get treated by customers as a woman working in a bike shop. Interesting I am forgetting her name, Dagda.......?
On the Eco front, looks like a position that can do no harm?

I'm also a big fan of Pedals, only downside is they they're so busy at the moment that there is usually a waiting list to get work done!
