In the top 1/4 of the ramp - the one that taxis can use. The cyclist was covered by a space blanket with police and another cyclist in attendance. No ambulance yet - Hope s/he is okay.

Oh no :( I hope it's nothing serious. I'm so confused about Waverley at the moment, is that the ramp you're allowed to cycle down, or not?

At 9:30 there was metal barrier and staff at the top preventing access.
At 9:40 there was nothing and the rising barrier and big blocks didn't seem to be in operation.

I sincerely hope this person wasn't caught ontop of the road blocker as it went from down to up.

Well I was wondering if it had anything to do with all the shenanigans down there. I hope they will be okay.

@kaputnik - we're not allowed to ride down EITHER of them, according to signage.

According to 'Network Rail Scot' twitter account, cyclists should use the North ramp(nearest Princes St).
I'm not sure if this is in conflict with the signage or not?Posted 10 years ago # -
"I'm not sure if this is in conflict with the signage or not?"
That depends on how you define "use".
Seems NRS is having a halfhearted attempt to get people to dismount -

Usual EEN caveats apply.

EEN suggesting that several other cyclists have been involved in "horror spills".
Not expecting much sympathy in the comments.

That article does say that the north ramp is intended to by cycled. (I didn't read the comments). I'll have a look tomorrow after PY.
