McDonald’s said taking away parking places to build the new coffee outlet, and at the same time increasing traffic, would not work

McDonalds working in the public interest of course, not just defending their own patch at all at all.

Using the arguments that others use to try to prevent mcDonalds?

I was having. Glass of wine with an ex colleague last night who knows one of the McLibel people.

And why shouldn't McDonalds be defending their own position ? Business is business.

Just ironic that they are using the Arguments McDonald's objectors raise about McDonald's to object to a competitor?

Is that like a poached egg in a wee muffin? It will not be a poached egg made by poaching an egg but some reconstituted thing in a microwave? I thinknI had one once when I was having to wait somewhere and only option was mcDS and the only thing I could see on the menu was the egg mcMuffn. The milkshakes are 70% dead animal I understand? And the chips are made of sawdust. Is that right?

I used to like a Burger King spicy bean burger on last train from Glasgow to Edinburgh but I noticed recently they don't claim it is vegetarian?

    Yes, the egg thing.

It might never have been near a chicken's bum but I still like them.

I've not had a BK spicy bean burger for a long time. Last I checked McD's bean burger was OK. They had an issue with frying them in oil which might have been shared with the animals but they claim to have sorted that out.

    me too.
Though I prefer to make my own
    toast the muffin halves
make a 2 egg cheese & herb omelette (enough for 2 muffins)
add Asdas new sausage patties made for muffins :D
    Very nice!

mind unlike most on the forum,I look like I like McDs :(

had 20 mins to waste in Chesser Asda this morning and came very close to trying something from McD. did have a coffee, but not sure that counts.

in Canada they do these deep-fried hot apple pie things (or did 25 years ago - the last time i recall visiting). if there'd been one of those on offer, i'd definitely have tried one. i didn't see an egg mcmuffin option either.

Wendy's is my fastfood of choice.

Food shop doesn't arrive till tomorrow, Mrs B working till 7 and we have to go to birthday party in Livingston as soon as she gets home. Will probably result in McD's en route. Has it's uses sometimes.

    @SDR

    Also at McDonalds Canada:

    + Add bacon to anything
+ McDonalds Poutine (disgusting but in the good way)
+ Dollar sodas in the summer (any size)
+ "tiers de livre Angus avec bacon et fromage, svp"

Burger King had an 89c for 10 (yes, TEN) rashers of bacon deal. I'm pretty sure it was cheaper to buy cooked bacon at BK than it was to get it 'fresh' from the Loblaws.
