While out running at lunch time I saw four police horses (plus riders) in Holyrood Park. They had been deposited from a large police horses lorry parked in the car park beside the palace. They headed off in pairs, in opposite directions, along Queens Drive.

"... usually Fery Police st just send a Panda car down, occupying the full width of the path... "
Which reminds me that I'd meant to post a couple of weeks ago about cycling towards Roseburn and passing the Wester Coates entrance in time to see a police car edging its way onto the path. I could only just make out it's blue roof lights past the headlights.
I've never understood the logic of sending cars along the NEPN. It's both anti-social towards law-abiding users and impractical (as well as dangerous to others) if they need to chase anyone. Cyclists or motorbikes would be far more practical.
