So:
1) hoping the reverse is true:
"Motorists, if you're overtaking a handsome cyclists, make sure that you are not speeding."
2) Are cyclists better looking than motorists?
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 16years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

No wonder I'm single
More cycling = better looking
Hey ladies.. Check out my strava times ;-)
Historically high-status males have been attractive to women, regardless of how handsome they might be, due to the perception that they can provide for children.
I always figured that one of the barriers to popularising cycling for everyday journeys is its perception as a low-status form of transport suitable for students, the poor and oddballs.
Women rated facial attractiveness among riders in the 2012 Tour de France, won by Britain's Sir Bradley Wiggins.
The top 10% of performers were rated on average as 25% better looking than the laggards.
The scientists conclude that humans have evolved to recognise athletic performance in faces.
As a conclusion, that really makes no sense at all. Every single rider in the TdF has supreme athletic talent.
Maybe the conclusion is that women find the skinny climbers facially more attractive than the bulkier sprinters?
hmm, I got on a train a couple of weeks ago after my chain snapped. An other lady with her bike got on, (tracksuit) BSO bike. She gave me a long look over and said, "You're fit, how do you get so thin?"
I felt dirty, and wanted a shower to clean myself off.
Depends on who finds you attractive, some attention os unwanted.
A few lady friends have observed "ugh, he looks anorexic" about TdF riders and "ewww his legs look deformed" about olympic sprinters. All in the eye of the beholder I guess, though I would venture that a reasonable (but not extreme) degree of fitness would make the most of whatever attractiveness an individual has.

"An other lady with her bike got on, ..."
Another lady? Something you're not telling us? :-o
I sent a link to the article to my girlfriend, along with a self-deprecating comment that I cant be as fast as I think I am. And the ego-deflating reply I got?
"Obviously not. ;-p "
Boohoo!
