The other week, while I was cycling back to Edinburgh after a long weekend away, I was passed by a lorry for a building supplies company. The driver gave us loads of room and didn't move back to the left until I gave a thumbs up sign to say thanks and it was safe to move back. So there are good drivers out there, if only they were all like that! :-)

May have been Jewson, but I am not sure, hence I didn't say. I just remember it was a blue HGV III flat bed with a Hiab. It was liveried but I just don't remember the name. We were in the lanes of East Lothian at the time, and it was an exemplary piece of driving.

Couldn't agree more! Unusual it was a Swedish fellow who have very strict rules on speeding. I have driven there a couple of times and no-on but no-one goes in excess of the speed limit. The car you see 100yards ahead stays at the same distance for as long as you stay on the same road. Probably he was driving at that speed in Germany, crossed the border to Switzerland and didn't realise it!
