Managed to get soaked on my way in this morning then lulled into a false sense of security by the sun outside at lunchtime.

Hopefully my kit will have dried out by hometime.

I'm considering heading into the office tomorrow for the first time in a long time.

Just had a thought - I don't know where any of my trousers are (or if they'll still fit)...

    You’ll need trews for sure

I was down to only one non-holey office pair, which prevents an appropriate wash regime.

Patched trousers seem perfectly appropriate for Zoom and Teams - I've even been assuming that slightly tatty t-shirts are fine due to the resolution/size of image!

Emergency trip to Sparks saved the day.

Now to find out what's growing in my locker...

Surprisingly the towel in my locker has failed to grow any visible organisms during lock down - most likely due to it going in the drying room during the day and only back in the locker overnight. Hooray for good facilities.

Best news of all was that I found my watch :-)

@HC I also went to the office today, but having emptied my changing room locker in August 2020 I had no concerns about its content.

Also, now that I have an e-bike, I didn't need to change, just parked the bike, replaced my wellies with smart shoes and went straight to my desk. On the way home I picked sloes. I left some for others. The attire for the return trip was wellies, fluorescent workie trousers (bought for £10 from Screwfix on Sunday), an Endura jacket and a Tilley Hat. This distinctive attire was warm, dry and comfortable.

Had mad commute at dawn today, despite weather and city Fibre roadworks and city centre roadworks times three for reasons unknown I felt huge happiness to be commuting. Fewer fkd up drivers at 7am

All good. Smuggled some colleagues into Fort Knox for meeting.

Cycle. Home late enough to not be too wet.

Took winter bike to his Mattness by cycling through the city Fibre roadworks, walked back, but of bus. Took summmer bike to his Royal Mattness only shoogly xpcassette not fkd free hub.

Found work pass. In my trouser pocket

    All good

I miss having a commute so badly! I can't be bothered with the ride out to Livvie, vaguely started looking at shared workspaces in town...

My colleagues were worried that something had happened to me when I arrived 20 min later than usual this morning. But it was just the wind.

@chdot Ok, I will confess that I also lost some time when I stopped for a chat with a fellow (opposite direction) commuter from the olden days. He very rarely commutes now but when he does he leaves after I pass through Ratho. Today I was so slow that I bumped into him.

First commute to the office this year and vomited as I cycled past the sewage treatment works just north of the Forth. Disgusting. Not sure why I have chosen to share this with the group...

Me, whilst struggling to fit all my crap into a single pannier this morning: "Ach, I won't need my toolkit, I haven't had a puncture in years."

Me reaching my bike after leaving the office this afternoon: "..."
