Received this by email from the new chair of Living Streets Edinburgh:

"Any time you are next at Haymarket (and have a digital camera / phone camera) could someone take a photo of the Starbucks bins and Ryrie’s A-board obstructing the pavement – ideally when there are peds about!?"

    Can anyone help?

I'll pop that way for lunchwalk. Hopefully there'll be some example pedestrians around...

I'll try and remember when I go through.

    EnFlickring...

    Ryrie's versus Dalry Road:

Four more beside it in my photostream.

Also nearby, the West End Village people and a pub are augmenting the pavement-works barriers with A-boards:

Hmm fine collection of street junk.

    Don't remember the advert pillar!

I have to confess to finding the beggar by Starbucks the biggest inconvenience. There's always someone there. And why do they have to sit on the narrowest bit of pavement?
    /End rant.
I also feel guilty about ranting about people, who are desparate enough to sit on the street and beg, getting in my way.

So that you cannot avoid them. I'm sure they get a lot more money that way.
