Was cycling with Wilmington's Bovid this morning and we happened upon the aftermath of an accident, a woman who had been knocked off her bike by a white car at Tollcross, just outside the James Morrow audio place.

The car had stopped in the junction and people were helping her. Fortunately it didn't look too serious (bumped and bruised and winded).

There is an ASL and box here, but when cars are back up it can be almost impossible to get into up the left hand side (no feed lane and guard rails).

    Hope she is ok.

I was driving this morning and went that way aimig for West Approach Road.

A few cyclists filter down the outside when there is a traffic backup (probably for the reasons you noted) but I am always wary of that - last time I tried it I almost got creamed by a bin lorry coming the other way.

hope she's ok - it can get pretty tricky there. I sometimes filter down the outside, but as Nelly says you have to be pretty sure you're going to make it ok. I still prefer it to filtering down the inside which is fraught with difficulty there, but if there's an opportunity to find a place to wait behind traffic I will. It can get pretty clogged up there so often that's very difficult and getting to the ASL somehow seems the best thing to do.

I ride that everyday and agree it's a horrid junction when busy. This morning it was mobbed about 9:30 - backed up all the way to marchmont road from the western approach. Buses and vans everywhere.

    Hope the lady is ok.
