Just picked this up from the ERC forum. Anyone know it ?
"I am writing to many of the cycling clubs round Central Scotland to introduce Shieldbank Coffee Shop. I am aware that we may be too far away for your club to consider using us on a normal ride, but some of your members may like to use us as a starting point, where they can leave their cars and explore a new route. Our address is:  Shieldbank Riding & Vaulting Club and Coffee Shop                           Shieldbank Farm, North Rd., Saline, Fife KY12 9LNContact details: Tel: 01383 852621 Coffee Shop                                 01383 852874 Riding Club & House

    Website:  http://www.shieldbank.co.uk Facebook

Shieldbank Coffee ShopWe are situated 1 mile outside the village of Saline on the North Road. North Rd. is a very minor road, 3.5mls long, connecting the villages of Saline and Blairingone. The farm is situated in a rural area, we have very good network of country roads and lanes which extend right through Fife, Perthshire, Clackmannanshire and Stirlingshire.Locally we have many places of outstanding natural beauty and historic interest; Fife Bus Museum is only 5mls away, the historic village of Culross about 7mlsand to the north of us is the village of Dollar with Castle Cambell sitting above it and to the west, along the base of the beautiful Ochil Hills lies Stirling. Our coffee shop seats up to thirty inside, with another twenty outside. We currently have offroad parking for thirty cars with an overflow capacity for another ten. The largest group of cyclists that we have had in, to date, has been 19; all of whom were able to lean their bikes safely along a fence within our parking area.We offer light lunches, tea/coffee and soft drinks, home baking and, by arrangement, evening meals. Since we live on the farm, our opening hours are flexible. If anybody feels that they might like to have a weekend trip we can arrange accomodation, we work with three local B&Bs, giving a maximum capacity of 19 beds."

    Riding & Vaulting Club?

So they like things which involve horses, wooden or mammalian.

Castle Campbell is a nice one, stiffish walk up the hill though. I once had to hide behind a tree and cough loudly and repeatedly to redirect a group of DoE kids who were on a walk there. They were heading off down the wrong glen and would have been miles away from the mini bus at the other end.
