Anyone noticed that some threads seem to take long to open than others? Certainly over the last few days, the "I had a lovely ride today, thankyou" thread takes quite a time to open, whatever device I'm using.

    No.

The "lovely" thread page before the current one has a lot of text and quite a few photos.

If you have opened it several times maybe your device isn't caching the content so loads it all again?

Hah - it appears to be the first page that causes the hiatus. Not sure but it's the same whether it's the phone on 3G or Wifi, laptop with Wifi or the work PC with the super fast University connection. At the moment it is actually failing to load the sixth post and below.

Of course usually I just want to find my way to the last post.

I've sometimes had that problem, not noted any particular page. I suspect it's an issue at the service provider (there have been others!)

I assume that I'm not the only person getting 403 errors, and that you, chdot, are aware of this? It is a pretty regular occurence.

I have found for some time on this site that clicking to go into a thread (note: I have conditioned myself to always click the 'Latest post' link even on new threads) can quite often take a long time.

Clicking the link again almost always 'fixes' this and causes the thread to load.

This is across multiple platforms/browsers/OSes so it seems to be a CCE feature from what I can see.

So my advice is click twice!

    I've noticed this as well.

The other odd one I only experience on my iphone:
When viewing a thread for the first time I can see embedded YouTube clips. If I enter the thread again them there is just a big blank space where the clip should be.
