    ...Oops. I meant this to be Stuff and it seems to have landed in Infrastructure instead. I can't see how to fix that.

    Well here's hoping the UCI shake up makes a real difference and they finally lose their backwards looking ways. I can't imagine how far bike tech would have come if the sports surrounding the industry had been allowed to support all the innovations that could've been...

    Has anyone ever tried racing a faired recumbent against a classic upright racing bike? I'm guessing the recumbent might well be faster on the flat, but tragically heavy on a climb...

    Disc brakes on road bikes...

    I have done a couple of articles using a power meter across recumbent and conventional road bike platforms:

    36.2kCal per mile versus 47.3kCal (mixed terrain)
    Speed for given power (flat)
    1 minute sprint power (steep)
