    I've just been having a bit more of a play with my helmet cam now that the weather is getting better and though it would be interesting to film a few of the routes I use to get to Edinburgh Park.

    Because no one has time to sit through 25 minute I've speeded it up somewhat...

    This is the Broomhouse path, featuring the new path alongside the tramline to Ballgreen, with some live Trams and Trains. A very pleasant evening all pedestrians were smiling and friendly and the cars caused me no bother!

    Urge. That should have a warning on it for those prone to motion sickness.

    But it does show very effectively how rubbish it is that the cycle route didn't continue over the various tram bridges.

    Scream if you want to go faster. I've not seen that new path work so thanks for posting it.

    I did wonder why it didn't just carry on, on one side of the tracks rather than cross over and back, with rubbish broken bits where it doesn't go over a bridge but instead slows to a lights controlled crossing.

    I think if we had dedicated cycle/ped infrastructure, joined up, and not broken by crossing roads etc.. it would be as fast on the bike as it is on the road in a motor vehicle. I know from experience, that if I head to Craigleith Y, I can get there faster by going down from St andrew Sq to Tesco at Broughton, onto the Golden Acre path and round, than I can cycling through the West End road notwork*.

    * intentional misspelling.
