Mr Blair also has off-road bikes at his disposal while a handful of officers will be deployed with DNA spray - initially used in a bid to catch motorcycle thieves.
Only visible under UV lights, the harmless spray stays on skin and clothing, allowing officers to tag any yobs before identifying them later.

Police would like to remind the public that the area in question is a right of way and is accessed via a network of public paths. As such, use of such vehicles without relevant insurance is an offence to which you can be reported.

There were some lads on motorbikes, not wearing helmets, bombing down Gorgie Road on Monday evening. Much honking of horns ensued. I didn't think it was worth reporting to anybody.

Been a few kids going round on electric dirt bikes round Corstorphine. All the fear and likely young death but without the fair warning/irritating noise.
