Sustrans survey at Broughton tunnel

    Two folk sat surveying users of the path coming into Edinburgh at the Tesco in Broughton where the path splits to go into the Scotland St tunnel and Broughton Road.

    .. taken from their handout leaflet after I took part in their survey.

    This survey is being carried out to find out about the numbers and types of people using the National Cycle Network routes. The information will be used to improve the planning and management of this and other routes in the future and formes the basis for a continued program of surveying of the National Cycle Network in the next few years.

    Hope they are taking not of the number of people going through 'the hedge' and the 'mass' of people on that particularly constricted section.

    Should have been someone doing Fishwifeses Causeway. There were FOUR cyclists passing along it at the same time as me this morning.

    They're on the canal at Polwarth now. Hope they've got plenty pens with the amount of 'traffic'!
