11:30 start to arrive at Meadows for 12:00 silence

    http://pedalonparliament.org/day-schedule

A couple of people on here have suggested one.

Sciennes Primary has expressed an interest as it would attract some of the people who do the 'last Friday of the month' ride to school.

So anyone interested should turn up in time to leave about 11:45 (no official leaders) and follow the route familiar to Sciennes parents and children -

Don't go down Mayfield Road too quickly.

Arrive at The Meadows some time after 12:00.

Hope no one on the ride wants to buy a t-shirt...

Do you need anyone to lead that group? I commuted that route when I was at university so I know it well.

Happy to put this up on the site if it's a goer. Might want to arrive before the start of POP itself though?

If I was to lead from KB then I'll need to lead at an earlier time, I.E get to POP around 11.30 at least.

    I'm doing some people counting...

If anyone wants to 'take charge' (with others) on the day, I'm sure that would be appreciated.

Partly depends how many people turn up.

If it's half a dozen no real problem about keeping together.

If about 50, needs whoever is at front to make sure ride doesn't go fast so that people 'fall off' the back.

More than 100 (unlikely unless lots of Sciennes people decide to start from there), 'outriders' a good idea - also need to agree if front group waits for others if there is a split due to traffic lights.

If we don't need a leader for the KB route, I'll do the Musselburgh route.

As I already mentioned, I'm happy to help out on this, although I'm not very good at organising things.

Presume the meeting point is the traffic lights at Mayfield Road/West Mains Road junction. Leaving just after 11.30 should get us to the meadows by 12 (took me 8 minutes this morning when I thought I was running late).

@drnoble Meeting at the corner at Kings Buildings pedestrian entrance is a very good spot to gather, plenty of space.

I'd recommend this quiet route that goes past Sciennes Primary.

So that'll free me to do the Musselburgh route.

"I'd recommend this quiet route that goes past Sciennes Primary."

I think that is Family Network 6.

    It crosses Grange Road.

The QBC route is 'the main road' but there are traffic lights at the key intersections.

That's the way the ride will go tomorrow morning leaving KB at 8:15. (All welcome.)
