Anyone else going? After an hour and 40 minutes of frustrating online torture, my girlfriend and I managed to secure a couple of wristbands for the rider presentations on the Thursday. Thanks to an IT hiccup, where instead of removing the website's normal £3.00 processing charge somebody had replaced it with "-£3.00", causing the site to lose tickets in the basket, a simple process became a nightmare.

Now, it turns out that 6000 wristbands were allocated and I can't see all those people being let into City Hall's grounds, so my afternoon flight will need to be changed to the 7am one, along with the £35 charge to change it!

I'm disappointed that David Millar isn't listed in Garmin-Sharp's provisional roster as I'd hoped to see him race one last time. Presumably he's saving himself for le Tour, seeing as that's got a UK start too. Still, it's going to be great to see my first Grand Tour in the flesh, with the opening TT and first normal stage.
