Following on from the good behaviour from the our wee protest on Saturday (when our marshals only had to pick up 3 pieces of litter), can I also ask that we take down any POP posters that you see around the place.

If you spot any that haven't been taken down please flag on here so they can be dealt with.

    Thanks

"If you spot any that haven't been taken down please flag on here so they can be dealt with."

Presume anyone can remove any they see, (not just the people who put them up)?

I'm sure some people put up so many they can't remember them all!

Presume it would be OK to add one here(?) -

Some of the not-real-laminate ones seem to have escaped their binding after getting wet. Hawkhill Zigzag, Victoria Park, Victoria Path, Five Ways, prom-beside-kennels and prom-on-fence-beside-new-flats-beside-kilns unaccounted for on Sunday evening. I'll get the NEPN from Five Ways to Roseburn this morning.

    Hello HankChief,

I have taken down those that I put up in public spaces, however I have a couple in the windows of my van. Even though the event has passed I quite liked it being a mobile advert for cycle safety campaigning - do you think it's detrimental to leave them there as the event is now gone?

    Private space personal choice.

I hope some remain in bike shops, cafés etc.

IF the PoP organisers recover soon and are able to say that something will happen next year (no date fixed yet) perhaps there could be 'please come again next year' flashes added!

@chdot - anyone can take down the public ones, we don't want to be accused of littering...

If there are any you see but aren't able to take down, post here.

@algo - Absolutely fine to keep ones up in private places. As would wearing your Tshirt with pride ;-)

Or perhaps on the way home, given how late I was already.

I took down 4 or 5 on the way home and another dozen this morning.

Confession: when I was putting them up, I discovered two from last year that I had missed!

I've picked up some Leaflets and posters that had already come down / been dropped. Will begin removing any that I pass, even if someone else put them up!

Quite pleased to see several bikes in our (small) lockup at work, still bearing their Pop posters!

I've been delighted by the amount of pop-stuff in my newsfeed on facebook from people I didn;t know were that involved/had even come along. Lots of mentions of "Saw you but you looked busy" etc. Great to see!

I took down some of my posters on the A90 this morning. There were 2 missing but one which I can't remember the location of.

There might still be one of mine in Lochend Park (junction at the south-east of the pond) which I haven't been past yet. Also the lamp-post nearest the bike racks by the roundabout between the under-crags path and the road down from round the hill, which I ought to have remembered this morning and gone to get after going through the Innocent tunnel.

There's one on the crossing at the Leven St end of the Meadows. Unfortunately it is put up with cable ties and I didn't have anything to cut them with.

If I remember to pack secateurs tomorrow I'll clear the Balcarres Street/Morningside Road junction and also chop the branch that's dangling ever further into the canal towpath at Kingsknowe Court.
