    Genuine tweet from Kent Police:

ADVICE: Pedestrians - Wear hi-vis clothing this morning and cross roads at safe points. When it's foggy you're harder to spot #playyourpart

They're only repeating what's in the Highway Code. Rules for Pedestrians, general guidance, para 3.

"Help other road users to see you. Wear or carry something light-coloured, bright or fluorescent in poor daylight conditions. When it is dark, use reflective materials (e.g. armbands, sashes, waistcoats, jackets, footwear), which can be seen by drivers using headlights up to three times as far away as non-reflective materials."

There's some great headgear in that video. I particularly like the mother and daughter with matching sun hats.

To be fair to Kent police they also tweeted advice to drivers before their pedestrian and cycling ones.

They should have just told pedestrians to buy a car, like normal people.
