    Hurrah!

If I can be of help with anything in advance (from Glasgow...) let me know.

Can bring a Hamax caress to demo.

I hope to be able to make it with the wicker seat and a rather more experienced passenger compared to last year but will confirm after checking the passenger's calendar later.

We should be able to come again this year with the Urban Arrow.

Fantastic if we have the Urban Arrow and the wicker seat; those were the two top hits (at either end of the technology spectrum, interestingly) of last year's event.

I'll be increasingly pop-focused for the next few weeks but once that's over Suzanne and I will be be all systems go for this and the Women's Cycle Forum and other EdFoC related events

Is there a poster for this anywhere? Hankchief and I are running a 'ride your bike to work' stand in the office next week, and looking through the material from last year I found last year's poster which we had on display. If you happened to have this year's that you could point me to, I'm sure we can manage to fit it in again.

I can certainly lend some of my fleet of child carrying contraptions - exactly what will depend on what other people are bringing.

Not sure whether I can make it yet as we have house guests and I'm not sure what their plans are. I'll confirm closer to the time.

@Greenroofer - we're not that organised yet, I don't think, but I will check with Suzanne
@HankChief - but surely they will want to come and play with weird bikes? There will be cake...

Excellent! I'd love to come. The wee 'un will be a few days shy of 6 months by then and hopefully ready to start his biking career. And I should be back on a bike by then too. Timing will be important though as we are needed in Melrose for a concert at some point that day (the evening, I hope, but might be afternoon).

Happy to bring our bikes, again with Yepp Maxi at the rear and Yepp Mini on the front.

I need to have a serious think about the next option for sizing up....

I've been drooling over this tag along: http://www.followmetandem.co.uk/content/followme_reviews.php
Anyone have any experience of it?

No, but I saw a Dutch couple once waiting at Oban for the ferry who had one on a fully loaded touring bike. They had 3 kids and the youngest could cycle ~20km but after that or for hills she would hitch on the back. I think i've seen one once around Edinburgh.

Weezee, I've not seen that patricular one. Hankcheif has a trailgator which serves a similar purpose although from memory doesn't work if you also have a child seat. It also raises the front wheel further from the ground.

Looks like there will be at least two Urban Arrows there on the day, I wonder how many other cargo bikes could be brought along?

Finally got the website updated with the new poster https://womenscycleforum.wordpress.com/bike-curious-family-workshop-2015/

For those who want to help publicise it, Suzanne has had some posters/flyers printed or there is a PDF here https://womenscycleforum.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/a5-bike-workshop-poster-web.pdf if you're happy to print your own. Some handlebar flyers to follow soon!

Definitely coming, slightly uncertain on presence of mini-DarkerSide (if he's there, I'll be less able to help out!)

@acsimpson - that's great, and yes please to the Hamax and trailer for now, at least until we get a better final idea of what's available
    @darkerside - excellent, with or without a passenger/tester

This has reminded me, I bumped into a friend at PoP who had one and he highly recommended it.

We'll bring the Yepp mini plus crashtest baby*.

    * n.b. not to be used for actual crashes

I'll be bringing along an EBC tagalong and the bike that tows it.

Let's just say that it's at the lower end of the price spectrum of things you can use to move children by bike. I hope there will be some more expensive tagalongs there too so that people can see what you get for the extra money (gears, comfort, stability, sensible tyres, less weight etc etc etc)

yes definitely the more the merrier with things like different tagalongs and seats.

Are we getting a helios tandem as well though?

All being well I should be along with the Chariot - I'll also bring the Hamax recliner (thanks crowriver) too in case that's of interest - will probably be a bit late though...

    'Bike jumble'

This has been mentioned at various times as 'something CCE should do'

    Perhaps...

There is to be a mini version at this event.

If you have child/family bike things to SELL, bring them along.

This can be bikes (pre-school please) seats, tagalongs, small helmets in v good condition.

Mark a price clearly and be prepared to take away unsold items.

    Bump...

@weezee: you were asking about the Followme tandem/tagalong. This review may help

    https://juststepsideways.wordpress.com/2015/06/09/review-followme-tandem/

I did consider it as an option before I came across the helios.

Thanks @HankChief, yes the stability of the Followme seems to be its strong point. Must do further research on its compatibility with my Dutch upright...

I no longer have a trailer to exhibit and don't think I can hang around at this one but could drop off a spare CoPilot for Blackburn EX-series rack owners to practise with.
