CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.
Nice!
Seems to have been influenced by the one that was on here recently from south of that border.
Maybe the influences could cross the Sea(?)
I wonder if the SG has ever thought of having a budget for cycle safety videos...
Another quality effort from Norn Iron (even if there's one slightly cheesy nodding smile from the guy in the red car!). A proper mutual respect ad. Perhaps Scotland (and the rest of the UK should employ the DoE's publicity people to do things properly?
This will be about the road crash adverts -

NI DOE Road Safety adverts on #UTV. I know no other country in the UK that puts on such hard hitting adverts, truly shocking. Well done DOE

I definitely thought that the overtake shot would have benefited from mention of 'unseen obstacles' , potholes etc. And likewise, the point needs to be made that you should always look before opening a car door.
But, much as i generally like Bez's analysis, I think he's missing the point. There may also be a case for the hardhitting adverts he wants, but this is a good message, which both informs and reminds.

I'd agree with that, though Bez also suggests that this (and others) doesn't actually get the message across well enough.
