    So, who has done it? A couple of brave triers last night; got from Joppa to the Baths on what looked like 28 tires (for one of them)...

    Yeah, there are a couple of fairly regular folk who "fatbike" on Porty Beach too

    I've managed a few hundred metres on 25s once on Porty beach, on very compact sand. Still hard, hard, tailslidy work though.

    I tried to cycle across the beach and into the sea at St Cyrus after a C2C. More for show than anything else. 40 mm tyres eventually stuck in the soft sand and I walked the last few metres. Probably just as well for the bike.
