Tree Down Pencaitland Railway Path

    Just in case any of you use the Pencaitland Railway path.. there's a rather large tree come down on it at some point today.
    Still passable just with a bit of scrambling - not while mounted though.

    Somewhere midway between Crossgatehall and the general vicinity of Cousland.

    Who should you report this sort of thing to?

    Probably the council although you'll have to figure out which one as where you describe is pretty much slap bang on the border between East and Midlothian.

    East Lothian Council seem to lay claim to the whole thing and were quite fast in getting back to me.. cheers.

    Path warden has cleared out the small branches today so while you still have to dismount and duck under (~3ft clearance) it's not a showstopper if choosing a route.
