Bought a slice of pear and almond tart from Störtebäcker this morning. Fimm is spot on: it is good.

    Very very good.

Need to get there early though - they seem to have done a roaring trade and there wasn't much choice of bread left.

Hope they do well in their new location; Corstorphine needs more than charity shops and bookies.

I saw something on Facebook from Störtebäcker to the effect that they were closing early because they'd sold all their stock!

"Some organisations appear to want to focus on one or two areas and introduce local Low Emissions Zones. But we would just be rerouting the problem to another area. The focus for us can’t just be on improving one street but it has to be on every street in our city."

The Evolution furniture shop on the corner in that picture is about to close. It's only just moved from the old Woolworth's premises but sent an email to it's customer's this week advising that they will soon be closing.

I noticed today that the entire row of units where the supermarket was planned is up for sale.

I enjoyed a Sourdough loaf from Störtebäcker today. Yum yum.

& as mentioned on other thread, the Cafe Vigo Corstorphine Branch is opening this week.
