I just wanted to give some feedback about the cycling session my class had today. I think if we are looking for ways to create confidence kids then this is it! The class left at the end of the day with massive smile on their faces and a massive sense of achievement. The day was structured really well and the children felt really safe and able to give their best effort. Me and Mrs W were nearly in tears when one child who had never cycled before managed to cycle for some distance, she was genuinely beaming with pride.

The kids left at the end of the day saying thank you so much for today but I think the thanks must go to the people running the session.

So thank you so much from me and P3!

I have built a simeple ramp and seesaw for my children. They love cycling over them and round the street as does their friend who lives 2 door down. Last year a carpentry local firm's employee built a pump track affair out of timber and rents it out to groups, under their supervision. My children have asked if i could build them one. We have a large ex RAF runway behind our house in DB, and I'm wondering what else I can build out of timber for them to cycle over. They do love these sorts of things.

I've done a bit of skip raiding and have shamelessly copied the bits of wood in chdot's video. I take them to the park in an IKEA bag, dump it on the ground and let the children arrange them as they see fit...

One that we've seen in previous chdot videos, but which wasn't on this one, was a short steeply angled block that tips over as soon as a bike touches it. It's quite a challenge and mine love it.

I was about to be mighty impressed at around 0:23 on the video when the boy on the Isla Bike approached that wooden train thing with a Danny Mcaskill look on his face. I was disappointed when he diverted to the seesaw...

    Hello all,

Couldn’t wait for Friday to flash! Some days I love my job and today was one of them. Fantastic day of cycling with my class. All organised by A, aided and abetted by cycling dudes. Brilliant organisation and content absolutely spot on. Kids loved it and got loads out of it.

    Thanks a zillion!

Headteacher Stephen Kelly said: “We are probably a bit further on in terms of being the only school in the city with a purpose-built mountain biking trail, and it will be offered within our core PE provision.
