Off topic, but of course this seems like a good place to ask.

Does anyone have any recommendations for somewhere that can handle electronics repairs?

Specifically, it is a micro switch that needs to be resoldered onto the circuit board of a baby monitor.

It's a pretty tiny switch in my opinion. I think my smallest possible soldering blob would be larger than the size of the switch so not something I am prepared to attempt.

Yell throws up http://www.eeservice.co.uk/index.php/electricics but perhaps any "TV Repair" place could do this?

    Hello,

I really recommend Edinburgh Sound and Vision:

they have all the kit for stuff and are in my experience really good and helpful - I can't remember the name of the guy that runs it but he's soldered remapped chips onto ECUs before and that requires some seriously tiny solders - he'd be really reasonable too and might even do it while you wait if he's not too busy.

I have a solder iron and charge £0.00 per hour when working from home.

Algo, do you know if ES&V can repair computer monitors too? I have a dual-input Trinitron with dodgy voltage dividers.

@Arellcat - I don't know I'm afraid but I'd be surprised if he couldn't. I think the main guy is called Chris. Worth a ring to ask I reckon.

Arellcat; yes - they certainly used to repair CRTs so I expect they still do.
