Just been mapping a route for a wee cycle on Saturday morning. Anyone got any good suggestions for finishing it (somewhere between 40-50 miles) Are there any secret routes or decent paths to get me back over onto the north side of The A8? I normally find myself finishing buy going up to the Calder roundabouts and back to Corstorphine that way but Its kind of boring. Here is the link, any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=6335897

Hang a left just after your last point to use the underpass under the bypass in the Gyle business park? Still boring though.

Or my usual route in that neck of the woods is to head past Heriot-Watt entrance, next left, use the level crossing, which brings you to the nice quiet lane past Baberton GC, then Murrayburn Road (fast & recently resurfaced).

(thanks to chdot for the link)

thereafter you can head along from Edinburgh Park to the Broomhouse path.. after that I don't know the area so well...

I forgot about the road that takes you over the railway to the bottom of donkey lane. Nice one, cheers will give that a shot.
